I seem to have hit a rut with writing. The timing really couldn't be any more ironic, after I just posted about how writing can be fun and exciting! That much really hasn't changed. It's the fact that I've been struck down with a bad case of WRITER'S BLOCK that is annoying me.
I've wanted to be a serious author for a long time now, but I always seem to be unable to actually write anything down, whether it be on paper or on the computer. And I'm talking about story writing, not blog writing - this is just a really fancy journal, which makes it simple to write.
I have a lot of story ideas, but no where to take them. Or characters to populate the worlds, or plots to thicken the suspense, or ANY of that. I always have a scene, just one, to build an entire world around. And usually, the scene is something that only makes sense to me.
The story is swimming around in my head somewhere, I just know it is, but I have a lot of trouble fishing it out and slapping it down on something.
To illustrate my writing dilemma, I drew you a picture! Marvel at my mouse drawing skills. It actually took a lot longer than you might think.
